Device Test Bench

Advertising and Funding Policy

How advertising may fund Device Test Bench without changing tests, editorial conclusions or user controls.

Current activation standard

The site can be reviewed and used without advertising. Google advertising code, ad units and ads.txt are not activated until a real publisher ID, approved account, eligible English content, Google-certified regional consent integration and reviewed security configuration are present. A placeholder publisher ID is never used.

Editorial independence

An advertiser cannot buy a favorable test result, change a browser observation, remove an accurate limitation or receive unpublished test input. Guides do not include paid product rankings or disguised affiliate recommendations. If sponsored material is ever introduced, it will be labeled and kept separate from independent troubleshooting.

Placement rules

Ads may appear only on pages with substantial publisher content. They are excluded from test pads, Start and Stop controls, permission prompts, fullscreen routes, results, search, errors, administrator pages and incomplete translations. Space is reserved to reduce layout shift, and advertising must not outnumber or obscure the page’s useful content.

Privacy and consent

Advertising remains behind language, page, publisher, security and consent gates. For regions covered by Google’s certified CMP requirement, personalized ads require the certified consent flow and valid signals. Raw keyboard, pointer, media or controller test data is not sent with an ad request.

Report an advertising concern

Send the page URL, approximate time and a description to support@devicetestbench.com. Do not click an unsafe ad repeatedly, interact with it to gather evidence, or include account credentials in the report.
